Located in the ancient winemaking region of Aragatsotn, Van Ardi is one of Armenia’s first boutique wineries and a key player in its Wine Renaissance. The terrain at Van Ardi is endowed with rocky volcanic soils, rich in minerals and perfect for wine. The vineyards are sloped south-southeast, at an altitude of 1,050m above sea level. The microclimate is dry and windy, warm during the day, and cool at night. The vineyards are certified as Organic, which means no chemicals or pesticides are used to treat the vine.

Van Ardi winery is surrounded by three beautiful mountains - Ararat, Aragats, and Ara. This fact really convinced Varouzhan Mouradian that this was the right spot.

Van Ardi is a family project, and the family approach is present in every part of the production. In 2008, unyielding faith in the art of wine drove Varuzhan Mouradian (an accountant by profession) and his family to uproot their lives in Los Angeles and embark on a generational journey in Armenian wine culture. And so Van Ardi was born.

Our approach to viticulture and winemaking is «biodynamic» - we believe that there are more factors than the tangible ones (soil, water, and sun) that affect the health and happiness of the grapes. Therefore, our vines listen to music throughout the year, and it is why we built a bell tower in our estate to surround them with positivity.
