About Host
Few are aware that today the last surviving tribe of Udi of the ancient Albanian empire lives in the heart of Kakheti, in the village of Zinobiani, Kvareli district. The host girl of the agro-tourism facility is Udi as well, which gives this facility an opportunity to share its centuries-old history along with a variety of services.
In 1920-22, the main concernt of Udis settled in Georgia was to preserve Orthodoxy, and this is where the history of the coexistence of Kakhetians and Udis start. Besides, the village was named Zinobiani in honor of their leader Zinobi Silikashvili.
Kakhetian architecture and carved balconies create a kind of vintage environment. You may have many reasons to visit this place: enjoy apitherapy, taste Kakhetian wine and cuisine, familiarize with Udi traditions or taste gastronomy.
The guesthouse is mostly furnished with old items and each one tells a story of the past.
This area has all kinds of services to make a person of any taste feel comfortable.
Guests can participate in gastronomic master classes not specific to this area and taste dishes prepared by ancient recipes of Udis.
The choice is yours - sleep with the bees or in a family hotel. This is not a joke - you will find yourself in a mystical environment if you sleep in the apitherapy cottage. About 80,000 bees are present in a single hive under the cottage, and a gentle vibration massage and anti-stress therapy with the sounds of bees await you.
You may plan to visit to an agro-tourism facility both for long and short term periods, or, at least, for a few hours and share two cultures at the same time.
